De Lauro Studios is owned and operated by Jim and Stacey Lauro.  Jim is a local artisan that has resided in West Chicago for over 20 years. He is the father of five children and has served his community as a head baseball coach for the Wildcats travel team, assistant Panthers football coach, as well as served on the board for local non-profit organizations. Jim graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design. He primarily works with acrylics and enjoys utilizing all surfaces in which he can incorporate creativity into his art pieces. His paintings and original designs can be found in homes throughout the U.S. 

He was recently chosen as a featured artist at Gallery 200. His piece ‘Brotherly Love’ was the award winner of a regional competition while “Mesmerize” was an award winner the previous year and made into banners which were displayed downtown throughout the year.
